Mark, born and raised in "enemy territory" (the suburbs of Pittsburgh), has been pastor of the Vine Fellowship (formerly First Presbyterian Church, Akron) for 19 years. A graduate of Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA), Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (KY) and McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL), he previously pastored churches in Titusville, PA and Butler, PA prior to coming to the Akron area. He is married to the love of his life, Margaret Shireen (her middle name is from the Urdu language, Pakistan, where she was born and raised until the age of 15, and means "sweet") for 30 years and they have two adult daughters - Rebecca and Ashley. He loves to follow the Pittsburgh teams - Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins BUT his favorite American League baseball team is the Cleveland Indians.

Denise, a resident of Bath, accepted the Lord at an early age and has enjoyed serving God’s people as a church organist, cantor, and religious educator. She attends Lakeside Christian Church in Bath, and considers her faith and family to be her most valued possessions. Denise holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Cleveland State University and has both administrative and teaching experience in the public school system as well as several years of business experience in marketing and purchasing. She has been married for 23 years to her husband Stephen, and has been blessed with two children, Susan and Danny who attend Copley High School and Grace College and Theological Seminary. She has a heart for people and is committed to serving, supporting, and encouraging others to live Christ centered lives. Denise hopes to bring the community together at the HUB by building strong personal relationships with guests, area businesses, and other non-profit organizations.
